Rolands Irklis
An analytical and strategic energy professional with an in-depth understanding of the energy sector in Latvia, as well as in the Baltic Sea region as a whole.
Previous professional experience includes the positions of Chairman and Member of the Supervisory Board of the Public Utilities Commission, as well as the position of Auditor General in the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia. He served also as Vice-Chair of Bord of Regulators at Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators in Europe (ACER) and Vice-President of Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), as well as member of the Audit Committee of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). He has also been a sworn advocate and worked as a lawyer for the central bank of Latvia – Latvijas Banka and in the private sector.
He holds an Executive MBA from the Riga Business School (RTU). He has volunteered for military service in the Latvian National Guard.
