Miguel Ángel holds a degree in Industrial Engineering as well as a degree in Environmental Sciences from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Miguel Ángel has spent most of his professional career in the environmental field, especially in the renewable energy sector. He has extensive experience of 18 years in financing renewable energy assets (more than 200 projects and 4.5 GW of photovoltaic plants, wind farms, solar thermal power plants, hydroelectric plants, etc.) first as a technical advisor and then in the financial sector.

Miguel Ángel's career at Triodos Bank started in 2013 and during these years he has always been developing his work in the renewable energy sector, energy efficiency initiatives and other sustainable environmental technologies. He is currently responsible for the area, and as such leads the objectives of the area, which represents approximately 20% of the bank's business portfolio.

Miguel Ángel is also a spokesperson for Triodos Bank's vision for the energy transition in this sector in national and international forums.
