Revenue Strategies for Co-located PV and Battery Storage Projects
Time: 11:45 - 12:15

Synopsis
An estimated 421 GW of intermittent renewable energy sources will be deployed in Europe by 2030. Such huge capacity additions will pose significant threat to the commercial viability of renewable energy assets, with cannibalisation of capture prices, increasing curtailment, and rising imbalance costs. A key tool to mitigate these risks is the co-location of PV projects with BESS.
- Evaluating which markets offer the best opportunities for co-location – mapping the regulatory environment for hybrid installations across Europe and overcoming vast disparities between markets
- Developing holistic policy frameworks which support the complexity of co-located business models and commercial viability of projects
- Understanding how to manage the interplay of both asset classes, operate them together, and the impact on revenue models
