Can Kökten

Can Kökten is Vice President Engineering & Construction at Clenergy Global Projects GmbH, where he leads the technical development, grid strategy, and execution of utility-scale solar PV projects in Germany.

Since 2013, he has been responsible for grid connection studies, plant certification processes, and the coordination of grid approvals with transmission and distribution system operators, securing permits for projects totaling more than 920 MWp. He has developed 380 kV grid connection models in collaboration with wind park developers and is involved in one of the first cable pooling projects in the German market, maximizing installed capacity through optimized grid utilization. His work focuses on hybridization strategies, storage integration, flexible connection concepts, and allocation risks into project design, valuation and bank financing structures.
