Francisco Beirão

Francisco Beirão has served as Head of Government Affairs in Europe for Lightsource bp since September 2021. As well as advocating for the company at the EU level, he has built and leads a government affairs team operating across the business’ national markets, all working to ensure that the opportunities solar power offers can be maximised.

Prior to that he was Head of the Brussels office for the Portuguese utility Energias de Portugal (EDP) progressing EDP’s engagement across the European Union’s institutions, and Investor Relations Director at EDP Renováveis.

Francisco started his career as an Equity Research Analyst, and holds a degree in Management and Business Administration.
