Pablo Silvestre Bengoa
Pablo Silvestre Bengoa is a Civil Engineer (MSc) from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, specializing in Hydraulics and Energy. He possesses over a decade of technical and strategic experience within the renewable energy sector. His academic background is further strengthened by advanced training in Photovoltaic Systems from the Technical University of Denmark, as well as postgraduate studies in Business Administration and Industrial Plant management.
Currently, he serves as the Sales Director for Europe at SOLIS, where he leads commercial activities for Utility-Scale solutions across Spain, Portugal, and Italy. His technical expertise focuses on the implementation of string inverters, medium voltage stations, and advanced communication systems, which are critical components for the operational integrity and security of modern photovoltaic plants.
Previously, he held the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Chelion Iberia, specializing in the development of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and hybridization projects. His prior experience also includes managing strategic accounts at leading companies such as Fimer and Iberdrola, contributing to the execution and business development of large-scale energy assets.
Throughout his career, he has managed technical and commercial relationships with major global energy stakeholders, including investment funds, IPPs, and Tier-1 EPC contractors. His proficiency in engineering and management tools—such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, and Salesforce—combined with an in-depth understanding of grid infrastructure, positions him as an expert at the intersection of power hardware and industrial communication protocols.
Given the increasing digitalization of energy infrastructure, Mr. Silvestre Bengoa’s experience in deploying control and monitoring solutions for international gigawatt-scale projects is essential for addressing the challenges of cybersecurity in photovoltaic inverters. His approach integrates component-level technical security with the operational resilience of the electrical grid, providing a high-level technical and commercial perspective on protecting critical assets in today’s renewable ecosystem.
