Jose Pascoal

José is the Global Head of Technical Operations at WiseEnergy and manages the Technical Operations team across all countries in which WiseEnergy operates. In addition to his managerial role, José ensures an ongoing focus in maximising asset availability and performance ratios as well as bringing a globalisation, digitalisation and process standardisation focus to further optimise the global Technical team’s efficiency and effectiveness. ​

José started his solar industry career at Martifer Solar (now Voltalia) in 2011, first as an Automation Engineer and then as an Automation and Control Systems Coordinator. José then moved to Ikaros Solar as Business Process Engineer, an Engineering Service Center Coordinator and finally, as Group Service Manager. Following his time at Ikaros Solar, he joined Efacec as O&M Director in the Energy Systems Business Unit (solar, hydropower and substation contracts). José brings experience in both EPC and O&M operational roles across small rooftop assets through to the biggest utility scale projects around the world. ​

José holds a Bachelor and Masters in Engineering (Electrical and Computers Engineering) from the University of Coimbra in Portugal (where he has also been a Researcher and Assistant Professor) and a Master in Health and Safety in the Work Environment from Talentus. ​
