Rafael Villergas is a Director in the Energy & Infrastructure Team based in Madrid. Rafael joined ING Spain in 2021 and has over 16 years of Project Finance experience. He is primarily responsible for originating, advising and executing project finance opportunities throughout Iberia in the power and renewable sector.
He previously served as Director with ING in NY from 2018 to 2021 and prior he worked in the structured finance teams for Banco de Sabadell and Caja Madrid based in US since 2010, covering North and Latin America regions. From 2006 to 2010 he worked for Caja Madrid in the Leverage and PF Team covering energy transactions in the European market.
Rafael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Law from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and an executive program by IE Business School.
