As the most successful technology in the RESS 3 auctions and the fastest connecting renewable energy resource, the Irish solar industry is developing at a tremendous pace. The first utility scale solar project became operational in 2022. By the end of 2023, there was 1GW solar connected to the grid. These are milestones to be celebrated on the path to energising 8GW of solar by 2030. This session will delve into how Ireland is super-charging its’ renewable and solar PV industry growth, and what you need to be aware of when operating in this region, using project case studies to illustrate key challenges and learnings.
